A Game for Learning Scrumban Principles
The guys from Scrumban [R]Evolution made a game / simulation / training tool … I tried it and it is indeed fun if you want to get the key points!
You can also take that tool as an opportunity to (collectively?) reflect on how you proceed work! … Well yes: I personally still doubt that a few of the possible – and in game context effective – strategies would really generate benefit in real life – eg throwing 7+ people on 1-point user story … so for me a few questions are meanwhile left unanswered … but the game was mentioned on the first pages of Scrumban [R]Evolution … so there´s a good chance that the book will answer those questions too 🙂
This is real fun! If you´re into “planning”, scrum, kanban or software development, take some time to check this game!

Here are now a few screenshots of the game

simplistic start screen … yes, the game is simplistic but that is perfectly ok

now I can choose a game mode … I personally prefer the full mode on the long run .. for trying or first round I would recommend quick play

ahm, yes … that´s the next screen … let´s get ready!

KickOff! … nice lady gives an introduction …

that´s the working area

this is my team in the planning area … I can assign them tasks every “day”
… now I´m playing … but well, I won´t spoiler here so you have to do this for yourself ;-D …

that´s the final screen showing my game score
Now try if for yourself & have fun!
